Ways to Give

Donor-Advised Funds

Recommend a grant to KOYJAI from your DAF.

What is a DAF grant recommendation?

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a giving account you contribute to through a sponsoring organization (for example, a community foundation or a fund at a financial institution). You receive an immediate tax benefit when you contribute to the fund, and then you can “recommend” grants from that fund to nonprofits over time. The DAF sponsor reviews each recommendation and, if approved, sends the grant directly to the nonprofit.

A note on eligibility right now

Most DAF sponsors require a nonprofit to hold current IRS 501(c)(3) determination before they’ll process a grant recommendation to it. KOYJAI’s 501(c)(3) determination is currently pending with the IRS.Depending on your sponsor’s policies, a grant recommendation to KOYJAI may not be processed until that determination is received.

We’d encourage you to check with your DAF sponsor directly about their requirements. If you’d like KOYJAI to notify you as soon as our determination comes through so you can recommend a grant, please reach out:
